FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can we still come visit the farm even though your selling season is over for the year?
No ... sorry. Our farm is also our home, and it is not open to the public once we close out the season.
What are your operating hours?
We will announce 2021 operating hours next fall.
Can I get a tree delivered/flocked/lighted?
Our tree decoration and delivery orders are closed for the season.
What kinds of trees do you sell?
How much do you charge for your trees?
All of our trees are individually priced according to species, height and overall quality. We will publish 2021 pricing information next fall.
How can I check on the status of a pending decoration/delivery order?
Please phone our office between 9 am and 6 pm at 205-841-6766.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash and all major credit/debit cards.
What is your photography policy?
We have a new page that clarifies our policies regarding the use of the farm for photography and videography.
Do you charge an admission fee?
Nope! It's free to visit the farm, ride the tractor and watch the live blacksmithing demonstrations. (Professional photographers and videographers must pay a fee and get permission before using the farm. Please click here for more information.)
Can I cut down the tree myself, or do you have to cut it down for me?
Your choice! We have saws you can borrow, or we'd be glad to assist. Either way, we will bail your tree (secure it in a net) and safely attach it to your vehicle for the ride home.
Why can't I cut down a Fraser Fir myself? Why are they pre-cut?
The Fraser, Douglas and Concolor firs as well as the Black Hills Spruces we sell will not grow in Alabama. They require at least 3,000 feet elevation, which is why we bring ours in fresh from Michigan. These trees have been out of the ground only a matter of days when they arrive, and we immediately shave off the stump (to remove hardened resin) and put them in water.
How do I get there?
Just direct your GPS system to our address:
538 Pine Hill Circle
Tarrant, AL 35217
Occasionally, GPS systems will display our address as "North Pine Hill Circle." That will also get you there.
Do you have fresh wreaths and garland?
Yes, we make them to order. Orders closed for the season.
Do you have reindeer this year?
Unfortunately, we have had to end our traditional live reindeer exhibit. As of now, federal regulations prohibit bringing such animals across state lines. And, unfortunately, Santa had to cross MANY state lines to bring us a couple of his team. So, from Santa and the rest of us, we will miss the furry guys, and we're sorry.
What is the best way to care for my fresh Christmas tree?
Where can I park?
We have onsite parking, but parking spaces may become extremely limited during peak hours (weekend afternoons and early evenings).
Do you have Santa Claus?
Generally, we don't have a Santa Claus attraction at our farm.
May we bring our dog?
We are a dog-friendly farm! Just be sure your dog is on a leash at all times and in good health. As for whether to bring your cat/parrot/iguana/llama, if the animal is legally certified as a service animal, then in accordance with the law they are absolutely welcome. As for "comfort animals" or pets of any other variety, you must use your best judgment.
